Client: Board of Cricket Control of Pakistan(BCCP) Architect: NESPAK Area : 200,000 The construction of the stadium was carried out on emergent basis for holding World Cup cricket matches in Pakistan for the first time. The works included steel truss framing, roofing with pre-cast concrete slabs, and covering the entire seating area with projected cantilever roofing. The project was successfully completed and handed over in a record time of less than a year. The stadium has been designed to hold over 50,000 spectators.
